If you’re like “what’s the point?” (besides the data security aspect), it has improved functionality like more input types (JSON/YAML), and more output types (JSON/YAML/Base64, etc), and auto detects/de-base64s input.
I used unserialize.com a bunch, but realized that it’s not exactly the most secure for sensitive data, so I copied their html, and created my own local version: github.com/jtsternberg/un…
