So I signed up for @backblaze last week, and (really beefy) MBP performance has been impacted.. Anyone else? j.ustin.co/1R1SPnS

@Jtsternberg that’s normal when you first start backing up
@Jtsternberg you can throttle the bandwidth or just pause it and unpause when you aren’t working (what I did)
@Jtsternberg once you’re all set up and it has most of the files, performance shouldn’t be impacted
@Jtsternberg @backblaze you can control the amount of data you send
This might help performance
@Jtsternberg @backblaze pretty sure that’s what makes my computer slow at times. Has the initial backup finished?
@Jtsternberg oops just saw all the replies… Yeah it’s the only one that does external drives so that’s why I still use it… @backblaze
@Jtsternberg probably going to switch over to an AWS S3/Glacier backup solution TBH tho, @backblaze keeps a 15gb system file on my comp :(
@Jtsternberg what others said: that’s normal at first, and you can pause it from the task bar when needed.
